Custom Tailoring

We offer three different types of custom-made goods for your consideration:

Benchmade (bespoke): made in the traditional bespoke process, by hand as much as possible, and with the best materials possible and patterns individually drafted to the customer's measurements and body tendencies. Completion time is open-ended, as this is the most labor-intensive mode of construction, and the utmost attention is paid to detail. A minimum of four fittings is required.

Full Custom: hand-cut and hand sewn where necessary, with block patterns adapted by hand to the customer's measurements and body tendencies. This is the ideal process for optimum fit with respect to efficiency and quality construction. Completion time is 8-10 weeks, and a minimum of three fittings is required.

Semi-Custom (made-to-measure): hand-cut and hand sewn where necessary, with block patterns lightly modified through fitting sample garments to the customer. This is the best option for those who are venturing into custom clothing and who may not be a difficult fit. Completion time is 6-8 weeks, and a minimum of two fittings is required.

Fine Alterations

We perform over ninety different alterations, from pants hems and replacing buttons to partial and full recuts of garments. For those who are content with ready-made garments and do not have a need to have anything custom-made, for those who inherit or purchase garments secondhand and choose to invest in restyling them, for those who have gained or lost weight and choose to invest in reshaping their clothes, and for those who have a slight fit issue that can be easily fixed on a ready-made garment, we can meet any need.

Wardrobe Consultation

We provide professional wardrobe consulting in any setting, from overhauling your closet to teaching dress and style in group settings.
If you feel that some of the clothes in your closet are old, dated and worn, we go through your closet with you to determine what should be discarded, salvaged or remain, and we offer to help you reshape and restyle those items that can be salvaged.

Many college students and others in the workforce have not been properly taught how to build a starter wardrobe for interviews and other occasions. Seasoned professionals who dress up daily have not been properly exposed to options that can further their wardrobe options. We offer to show you all these things through one-on-one consultations and in group settings through workshops and seminars.
